Governments
of Andhra Pradesh issued orders vide G.O. No. 255,
LET & F (Emp) Department dated 1-2-03 and vide
Circular Memo No: R-1/101/2003 dated 8-8-03 of the
Commissioner of Employment and Training, A.P., Hyderabad
to implement the Scheme of EARN WHILW YOU LEARN to
the students of the Industrial Training Institutes. |
| As a part
of the scheme Service Call Centers Were opened from
18-8-03., in all the Government I.T.Ts. |
| The main intension
of the Call Center is: |
1. To provide
scope for on the job practical training to the students.
2. To expose the students to the real life, real time
operations of the trade learn by them in a truly commercial
and competitive environment.
3. To generate revenue by utilizing the existing plant
and machinery of the I.T.Is during idle hours.
4. To raise resources for the development of the institutions
and expand its activities.
5. To fine-tune the skills of the students besides providing
scope to earn.
6. To infuse confidence among the trainees to start
such centers on their own by the time they complete
the training. A seed shown for
future self employment.
7. To expose the staff to the demands of the society
for specific trade skill and thereby helping them to
improve themselves.
8. To provide the means and methods for the staff to
dedicate themselves to the causes of the institution
they serve. |
| Distribution
of Revenue so generated : |
| The
Revenue so generated will be distributed to the staff
and trainees those who have participated in work 50%
and the remaining 50% to the improvement of the institute. |
At
present the following works are taking up in the Government
I.T.I, Kakinada. |
| Servicing/Repairs
of : |
| Fans, Tube
lights, T.Vs, Refrigerators, Air Conditioners, Taperecorders,
Washing Machines, Scooters, Motor Cycles, Motor Rewinding
etc. |
| All
the works are taking up by the Call Centre with lowest
rates when compared with the market rate. |
| So
far an amount of Rs.4180/- was received in Service
Call Centre as on 19-11-03., by attending the repairs/service
from the public. |
